Impala Asset Management was founded by Robert Bishop in New Canaan, Connecticut in 2004. His singular vision was to build an alternative investment firm focused on fundamental investing in the public equity of economically sensitive companies. What started as a small group of investment professionals, has grown to a team of professionals operating from Impala’s offices in Connecticut, New York, and Florida.

Today Impala Asset Management invests capital that has been entrusted to it by a global base of investors comprised of sovereign funds, pension plans, endowments, foundations and high net worth investors. Impala believes in alignment of interest with its investors as evidenced by the fact employee capital represents a substantial percentage of assets under management.

Impala’s institutional infrastructure provides a framework for its professionals to deliver on the firm’s goal of being the preeminent investor in cyclical equities.

Impala Asset Management has been registered with the SEC as an investment adviser since January 2006.*
